What is Men Who Give?
Men Who Give is an organization who meets quarterly to fund a local non-profit in need. Each member gives $520 throughout the course of the year. $20 goes towards refreshments for the meetings. The first $100 commitment supports an endowment fund for the Men Who Give organization to use to address future needs of the community. In addition, every member commits to donate $100 at each of the four meetings (whether they attend or not) to be given to a selected Tippecanoe County non-profit organization. How does it work?
During each meeting, a member has the option of nominating an organization for consideration. At the meeting, three members’ submissions will be randomly chosen, and each will be given five minutes to provide an explanation of the organization and its services. Two minutes will also be provided for questions if needed. At the end of the presentations, the attendees vote, ballots are counted, and a winner is announced. The men then write their checks to the selected charity. Membership has grown to over 70 members. Every member donates $100 per meeting, so you can imagine how quickly the donation amount grows!
Its mission is to promote active life success, as well as engaged learning and leadership opportunities for both PALS campers and staff. PALS hosts a free five week summer day-camp, as well as an after school program.
Vision of Hope recognizes the worth and sanctity of human life by ministering to young women, children, and families in a Christ - Centered environment.
Royal Family KIDS creates life-changing moments for children of abuse through camps and mentoring clubs.
Matrix LifeCare Center values life. They exist to offer alternatives to men and women considering abortion by providing education and support before, during, and after pregnancy.
World Foods and Culture is a multimedia, hands-on approach to learning about our planet’s huge variety of life experiences, history, and cultures with a special look at cuisines. The program provides introductory skills required in fast food and full-service restaurant settings. Skills taught focus on listening and following directions, working cooperatively with others, basic kitchen safety, purchasing, managing a budget, food preparation and service. In addition, students are expanding their global horizons and culinary palates.
