Introduction
Be sure to read all
information in this website before proceeding with a grant
proposal.
Guidelines are intended to
help grant applicants understand the types of grants The
Community Foundation is likely to make. Review guidelines carefully to
avoid submitting a request that cannot be considered. These
grants are very competitive.
Grants awarded by The
Community Foundation are usually for capital needs -- things
like equipment, facility repairs, construction costs, etc. Grants may also be awarded for program
expenses or for emergency operating expenses, although not
on an ongoing basis.
The Foundation generally does
not fund
ongoing expenses, including operations (i.e. salary costs,
overhead expenses), programmatic (i.e. consumable goods,
annual expenses) or
other.
Grant seekers are encouraged
to submit proposals that include diverse financial support
and that do NOT rely on The Community Foundation for 100%
of the funding.
If you have never submitted a
request to The Community Foundation,
review the guidelines first, then contact us if
you have questions. Even if you have previously submitted
requests, feel free to contact us with questions.
