In 1998, The Community
Foundation of Greater
Lafayette entered into an agreement
to serve as the host foundation for White County Community
Foundation. An affiliate foundation can operate under the
tax-exempt umbrella of the host organization while
working within their own community to best serve local
needs. The affiliate agreement also allowed the new
foundation to apply for matching fund programs with
Lilly Endowment Inc. to help build their endowment.
